Sydney was born in Calgary and has lived in many different Canadian cities such as Vancouver, Toronto, and Kingston. She grew up playing many sports, most notably basketball. She unfortunately suffered some pesky injuries, getting surgeries such as an ACL reconstruction and a shoulder instability surgery. During this time, she developed a love for physiotherapy, hoping to empower and care for others the same way in the future. Having experienced these injuries, she now has a special interest in rehabilitating knee and shoulder conditions.
Fast forward, Sydney now holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Calgary, and a Master’s of Science in Physical Therapy from Queen’s University. Sydney likes to tailor her treatment to her patient’s preferences, utilizing a multitude of treatments such as manual therapy, exercise, education, and modalities to help get patients back to what they love doing. She also has her Level 1 Evidence in Motion Functional Dry Needling Certification and enjoys helping patients get moving and feeling better by using dry needling.
In her free time, Sydney enjoys playing basketball, volleyball, weightlifting, and hiking. She also is a big traveller and loves seeing new places in the world.
