Melissa graduated from the University of Alberta in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and in 2006 with a Masters of Science in Physical Therapy. Melissa is passionate about helping you live life as functionally and pain-free as possible! She has extensive experience with both acute and chronic conditions in orthopedic, cardiovascular and neurological injuries and disorders. She has pursued and completed professional development in manual therapy, spinal manipulation, acupuncture, women's pelvic health and is credentialed in the McKenzie Method® of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy® (MDT).
As Melissa's patient, her hope is that you will feel your concerns are heard and that her advanced training will help you reach your goals. To make it easier for you, she started Therapy2U, a mobile physiotherapy service for those who are limited in getting into a clinic.
On a personal note, she restores herself through daily physical activity, reading, and pursuing outdoor activities with her family whenever she can etch out time. She is passionate about maintaining health inside and out, and strives to live a lifestyle that is as natural and toxic free as possible. Melissa has had experience with her own mobility and pain issues that have led her to have a greater understanding of what you may be experiencing.
