Darcy Doyle

Darcy graduated from the University of the Fraser Valley with a Bachelor of Kinesiology in 2002 and received his Master of Science in Physiotherapy from the University of Alberta in 2006. In 2009, he received his FCAMPT designation. Darcy completed his transitional Doctorate in Physical Therapy (D.P.T.) in 2016. Darcy has also earned his certification in Gunn Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS) through the Institute for the Study and Treatment of Pain (iStop) and his acupuncture certification through the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute. Darcy is also an Affiliated Clinical Educator with the University of Alberta Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine. Darcy's advanced training allows him to treat a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, although he has a special interest in spinal related injuries. In clinical practice, his treatment philosophy includes using a combination of manual therapy and needling to restore joint mechanics, followed by muscle retraining and motor control strategies to correct movement dysfunctions. Darcy is actively involved in mentoring students who are completing extensive post graduate education in the area of orthopaedic manaul therapy and he has held the position of Vice President, President and Past President of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy (CAMPT).
