Alex is an experienced Sports Physiotherapist with a Masters of Science in Physiotherapy and a Bachelors of Physical Education from the University of Alberta. She holds a diploma in Sports Physiotherapy, while acting as a mentor within the program, and is certified in Female Pelvic health. She is also certified in acupuncture and has the ability to order diagnostic imaging.
Alex has over a decade of experience working in varsity sport at the University of Alberta where she has learned what it means to be a member of an interdisciplinary team and truly live on the sidelines of the sporting world. This has given her invaluable experience in managing acute injuries, modifying strength and conditioning plans, but more importantly, figuring out how to integrate athletes back into their sport and keep them there.
Alex works out of the Varsity Health clinic at Foote Field, and only treats the Golden Bears and Pandas athletes. She is unavailable to treat the general public.
