At Nose Creek Physiotherapy we love to help people in their 40’s, 50’s, and 60’s and above. Our objective is to get back to living the life they deserve. Above all, we all deserve a life free from painkillers. A life where doctor appointments are not on your to do list every week. Lives were you enjoy all of the things you love, without the fear of pain holding you back.
When something like chronic pain strikes in your knee, lower back, neck, shoulders or foot or if you experience an injury from sport or exercise - we know it’s very tempting to ignore it and hope it’ll simply “go away on its own” with time and rest … That you’ll wake up one morning and like “magic”, it’ll be as if it never happened in the first place. We know that’s usually not the case, and, therefore, often the pain ends up worse than it was when it first started.
'Quick fix...'
We also know the quick fix is in the medicine cabinet where we all have an assortment of pain relievers. They work, and definitely ease pain however we all know painkillers are not good for our health long-term. They do nothing but mask our pain.
Or, maybe you’re one of many people confused, even skeptical because you’ve sought advice from other Healthcare professionals, or even a Physio in the past, and nothing they seemed to say or do helped. Can you relate?

Thought the pain would go away on its own - but it didn’t
Several visits to the Doctor, only to be told to “rest” and “take some painkillers”. Then weeks later go back to see the Doctor, only to be prescribed MORE rest, and, probably, an even stronger dose of painkillers.
You wait months to see a Hospital AHS Physio, only to be given a sheet of exercises, which did nothing to quickly ease the pain, if at all.
Let’s not forget YouTube. The answer to everything right? Tried a few YouTube exercises, but those exercises either didn’t do a thing or aggravated the pain making it 10 times worse.
Well if exercises don’t help maybe rest is the solution, as now the pain is really bad. However all that resting has done is make the area even more stiff and tight.
Let’s face it everybody gets aches and pains as they get older - making it easy to accept it’s “just a part of life”
